The Wiley's

Wiley's - Designed composite looking to create story from circumstance, light heartedly mind you. Once tests are complete, I print and then gell coat (often with added paper pellets for accents). Then I selectively paint in oil parts that are overly pixilated to 'recapture' life. The series project consists of my vast collection of vintage paper dolls. These were, initially utilized mostly for illustrating 'ideals' for sewing pattern covers in the Golden Age (think Mc'Calls, Simplicity etc). As an aside, the original illustrators of the era were not allowed to sign or take credit for their work, and even Mc Calls today can not tell you who these artists were. They worked in anonymity, but hopefully I have brought their solo characters into a party of brethren. Join the human experience. Celebrate!
