Rabbit Way Up
A March hare makes his way along the ridgeline of the Elfin forest overlooking the coastal and inland areas of North San Diego County. Done in a blind contour style of drawing the rabbit has imperfections and odd shapes that describe the magic of illusion. The hare represents all the eccentricities and strange yet lovable behaviors we as humans manifest. We can get in our own way and block the path or go in the wrong direction. In the distance the ocean represents the desired arrival location, and yet the hare is facing the wrong way, blocking the path, caught in a shadow.
