Church of La Jolla Shoreline

Tissue Paper and oil paints. Standing at a rail, overlooking the ocean in La Jolla, CA, I found myself looking down to where the waves were breaking against the rocks. As I stood contemplating the beauty of nature I noticed the waves were broken into bands of color; deep green of the approaching water, light green and teal as the breaking wave mixed with air to create foam, and the wet, purple rocks of the solid wall. I found myself in a state of meditation, as if I was in church, surrounded by the embracing love of all that encompasses praise.
